Program Objectives:

The Electronics program aims to deliver a high quality undergraduate education which combines both theory and practice. Graduates will be qualified to pursue successful careers in their profession or graduate studies in different areas. The educational objectives of the program are determined to support career advancement of the graduates as they pursue their career goals. Upon completion of the program students will able to achieve the following objectives:

  • Design, optimize and maintain communication systems in tune with community needs and environmental concerns;

  • Advance and integrate new technologies as they emerge;

  • Engage in both a technical and managerial role in diverse teams;

  • Pursue entrepreneurial initiatives and launch startup companies;

  • Communicate effectively and use resources skillfully in interdisciplinary project development;

  • Become life-long learners;

  • Illustrate high ethical standards as professionals in their chosen field;

  • Develop increased employability skills required within the field.

  • Develop innovative solutions for design and communication of electronic systems of modern engineering

Program Learning Outcomes:
  • Ability to apply mathematics, physics, and basic engineering science in solving problems;

  • Understand basic electrical and electronic devices and systems in theory and application;

  • Scrutinize, design and implement electronic circuits and communications systems;

  • Understand the theory and applications of fields and waves;

  • Ability to analyze, design and implement RF transmission systems and circuits;

  • Ability to process electric signals to design and interface embedded and microprocessor-based systems;

  • Ability to use relevant modern tools of instrumentation and information technology;

  • Recognize, articulate, and resolve engineering problems while considering the impact of the suggested solution(s) on society;

  • An understanding of local, regional, and international contemporary issues;

  • Utilize communication skills to successfully complete projects as part of an interdisciplinary team collaboration;

  • Illustrate high ethical standards as professionals in their chosen field;

  • Develop increased employability skills required within the field;

  • Create an effective cover letter and cv to highlight the skills sought by potential employers;

  • Illustrate both an ability and a passion for continuing education.
